FURTHER ACTION.

Dear Phillips,

Downing Street,

9

November, 1937.

Will you please refer to your

official letter of the 21st September,

M.03929/37, about the draft Bill

relating to the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer

Defence Force.

In our letter of the 13th

July we enclosed a note embodying

observations on some of the

modifications of the Naval Discipline

Act proposed to be effected by the

Schedule to the Bill, and we asked for

the comments

highly on the

contents of the note.

It would appear

that the Admiralty have looked at the

matter only so far as it concerns men

actually
